'X-Men: First Class' Clip: Beast And Mystique Try To Feel 'Normal'

With Matthew Vaughn’s “ X-Men: First Class ” hitting theaters soon, we’re getting teased by more trailers and movie clips to whet our appetites and make us want to watch the real deal. The latest release is a 50-second clip starring Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence).

Posted at Access Hollywood , the clip shows the two mutants discussing how much they’d like to be “normal.”

In the clip, Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast, reveals that he's been working on a serum that will affect how they look, but won’t mess with their abilities. Mystique expresses an interest in this, wanting to know if it will work on her, but it seems that’s not the only thing she’s interested in.

Important...What project preset have you been using for your project when you use the 1920 x 1080 clips? Is there a red line over the Timeline 1920 x 1080 clip when you first bring the clip to the Timeline? If so, have you been rendering the Timeline by pressing the Enter Key of the computer main keyboard (or going to the Timeline Menu/Render Work Area) in order to get the best possible preview of the end product. If you do not see any line or a green line of the Timeline, this is not applicable...will explain later once I get more details from you. b. Have you checked to see how you have set Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/Performance? What does it say there for Available RAM? Is it the 3.5 GB RAM that you just cited or something else? And, where is the slider placed ...MB (...%) where it says Let Photoshop Elements Use. If you say that a 1280 x 720 16:9 (with the same video and audio codecs as the 1920 x 1080) plays back fine from its thumbnail in the Photoshop Elements 9 Organizer, then it sounds like you are having a computer resource issue. Have you tried increasing the % of available RAM that Photoshop Elements gets? The Performance area is where you will see "Scratch Disks" settings. Also, the "Performance" tab under "Preferences" tab in Photoshop Elements only appears in the Editor, not in the Organizer. Does that mean that changes in the parameters made in "Performance" will not affect the items played back only in the "Organizer" or do those settings affect both sub-programs, the Organizer and the Editor? Is your video card updated? I am assuming that Photoshop Elements is using QuickTime for the playback of the .mov files. So, if you are having problems with the standalone QuickTime and the 1920 x 1080.mov, it would be highly likely that you would have problems with the Photoshop Elements Organizer play back of that .mov file. Video and audio compression (some proprietary) can factor in. A look at the online video specs for your Fuji cite H.264.mov. A closer look suggests that the H.264 is really MPEG4 AVC/H.264 which represents AVCHD which is a very resource demanding format for play back as well as editing in a video editor. Your report of the successful playback of the 1280 x 720 version (typically referred to as AVCHD-Lite) may or may not support that speculation...could point to proprietary nature of the codecs or the computer resource angle.
